Instructions on How to Clean a Bunn Coffee Maker

There’s nothing better than a fresh cup of coffee and the Bunn coffee maker brews it the quickest. However, like all coffee machines, over time a buildup of sediment and mineral deposits, coffee oils will accumulate inside the coffee maker. If your coffee tastes some what bitter than normal you should consider it requires cleaning.

You might be having question that how to clean the coffee maker. Generally most Bunn coffee makers are comfortable to clean and service. The manufacturers ideally recommend that you should clean your Bunn coffee maker every three months.

To expand your coffee makers life you want to regularly clean it. You’ll also be assured that the coffee it continues to make taste great. If you grant deposits to occur, it becomes difficult to keep your Bunn coffee maker clean.

However there are lot of cleaning formula available in the market but here we have given two methods of cleaning and you can apply whichever most suited to your Bunn coffee maker.

Method – 1
?    Wash out the decanter and filter basket with dish soap, rinsin good. Set aside.
?    Unscrew the water spray head, and set away.
?    Push the de-liming spring, that came with your pot, into the water tube about six or seven inches, then clean the tube with a push-pull motion about six times.
?    Replace the water spray head, filter basket, and decanter.
?    Pour one quart white vinegar into the holding tank, the similarly as if you’re making coffee, and run the cycle through. This will empty the water out of the reservoir and replace it with the vinegar.
?    Wait 20 minutes, then empty the decanter and fill the holding tank with water. This will force the heated vinegar through the cycle and into the decanter.
?    Discard the vinegar and run two more cycles of fresh water through the machine before brewing coffee.
Method – 2
o    Take out all coffee grounds and water before start to clean your coffee maker, and dispose in trash can.
o    Fill up your coffee pot with hot water and pour into where the water is stored for making coffee. If there is no room for more water, minimize the water just a little so that the bleach will be able to fit inside as well.
o    Pour 1/2 cup of the Clorox bleach inside the water and let sit for 15 minutes to clean and disinfect that area as well.
o    Turn your coffee maker on and allow it to complete its cycle. Let stand for 30 minutes, then pour water and bleach mixture into the sink.
o    Fill coffee pot once again with hot water and pour into coffee maker. Turn it on and let it complete its cycle one more time to rinse out the entire residue of the bleach.
o    Empty coffee pot over again and place clean pot inside coffee maker. You are now ready to make a pot of coffee in your extra clean and disinfected coffee maker.
Lastly, plug in your Bunn coffee maker to a power outlet. Let the clean water in the tank reach brewing temperature. This should take approximately 15 minutes. You’re ready to brew coffee again!

Answer by odafintutuola
Wow that’s sort of a special order isn’t it ? I would try the Bunn website and maybe email them a request on some info, they would know how to help you out. I’d also call Sears, Macy’s, and some of your local home appliance centers, that’s funny you mentioned this right now, because I just told my cousin this morning to keep her eye’s open for a Black Bunn maker for me for the house. There’s NOTHING like the coffee that comes out of a Bunn is there ?

What do you think? Answer below!

Amway Bunn Coffee Maker: Real or Imaginary

Do you hear the Amway coffee maker? I just know that Amway coffee maker is working on centrifugal force and that makes it differ than the others. What is its specialisation? Amway coffee maker spins the coffee grind around as it brew coffee. Wonderful! Then who produces such machines? Bunn? Do you know any Amway Bunn coffee maker in the market?

Research says that Amway as a marketing company sells a coffee maker named as the Kahve Coffee maker. Kahve is a Turkish word with a twist of an Arabic word and it mean to coffee beans. Then what is specialty of this coffee maker? This is one which has received the Society of specialty Coffee Association (SCAA) seal of approval. This is genuinely majestic. The unit marketed by Amway is originally designed by Access Business Group of Ada, Michigan.

How does it work? This works in a particular manner. When coffee brew a motor spins the coffee is grinded with water soaking it. Spinning is done in an efficient manner, coffee is soaked by water uniformly so it can extract the maximum amount of the coffee flavor from the coffee grind. It also has been observed that it is coming with options for stainless steel thermal carafe and a glass pot.

Still the question remains that is Amway Bunn coffee maker or not. Further internet research do not support this supposition but yield some thing else that Access Business Group designed the coffeemaker traded by Amway but it was not particular makers of that machine. It seemed to be traded under the Kahve brand name. Here again the secret persists with the fact that the main business of the Kahve is coffee beans not coffee maker.

It is conventional fact about it that Amway is not the manufacturer of this coffee maker it has never manufacture any coffee maker under the OEM agreement any way. Then, who could be the manufacturer of such esteemed coffee maker? Could be this Bunn? It is possible for Bunn to do this job and make Amway Bunn coffee maker after all.

But there is a different tale to know. A little more internal research into coffee makers with centrifugal brewing leads to some other entertaining fact. A search by US patent office shows that this technology is not new and that ABG is not the originator of this idea. In month of May of year 1962, a patent for a centrifugal coffee maker was issued to Mr. G. R. Bunn. Once More it’s amusing to note that the Bunn surname is linked with a coffee maker. An example follows the patent and it is very similar to the design of the Amway coffee maker. So an Amway Bunn coffee maker does exist, but we cannot actually be certain that it is actually manufactured by Bunn at this point.

The Amway Bunn coffee maker seems to be based on the patent issued to G. R. Bunn in 1962. Who really is manufacturing this Kahve Coffee maker is unclear. However, there is certainly a case of circumstantial evidence to support the possibility that the Amway Bunn coffee maker is actually manufactured by Bunn.
